Had a hugely positive experience with Podium Physiotherapy. I had the opportunity to book a virtual appointment on hugely short notice for the same day. Within 15 minutes of my virtual consultation Jen was able to identify the underlying cause of my injury, ascertain the multiple issues that were causing problems, and provide simple and effective strength and mobility exercises. After my consultation, Jen sent me a concise email containing all the information I needed, along with advising my coach regarding my return to running timeline.
So many times after previous physio therapy I have spent time trying to remember the strength/ mobility exercises prescribed to me, so having everything I needed in an email was so useful for future reference. After my consultation I returned to pain-free running within a week and feel confident I understand how to manage the issue in future thanks to the consultation with Jen. Highly recommend.
I worked with Rose from Podium Physiotherapy last year after being diagnosed with a grade 4 femoral neck stress fracture following my first marathon build. Rose took me step-by-step through a potentially tumultuous recovery process, giving me specific guidance on how to off-load and when it was safe to build back in the weight-bearing activities. We then got me back running again once we had addressed the underlying deficiencies and areas to work on in my training programme, and I am undoubtedly a stronger and better runner today because of Rose’s well rounded approach to my injury.
Her prompt responses to my (many) worried emails about phantom pain and also her willingness to speak with my coach was also superb during this time, contributing to an overall excellent level of care which would not have been possible elsewhere for this kind of injury. I cannot thank Rose and Podium Physiotherapy enough for their help. I’ll be ever grateful to them for getting me back to being healthy and training for my next marathon in a sustainable way.

After picking up a bone stress injury at the start of my marathon block I contacted Rose who I’d heard about on the “Run it Three Ways” podcast. After a scan and initial consultation, Rose gave me a return to run programme, strength exercises and encouraged cross training. I feel Rose has given my sound advice, and would not hesitate to recommend her. Despite missing a chuck of training, I hit my sub 3hr marathon goal and a PB! Thanks for your help!
Rose guided me through a series of overtraining issues. Notably she got me out of a 6 months long plantar fasciitis issue. Since then, I have reached out for help whenever my training has gone off the rails. Rose is an outstanding professional who not only provides expert diagnosis, strength programme, analyses of the current training programme and liaising with a coach, but also is a great communicator.
It’s not just physical therapy, it’s also therapy. I have learnt how to deal with niggles and identify problems before they escalate, ultimately allowing me to run more sustainably!
